5 Simple Home Workouts Without Equipment

Want to stay active and healthy without going to the gym or buying workout equipment? The good news is, you can do effective exercises right from home, without special equipment. Here are 5 simple exercises you can do at home to maintain your fitness:

  1. Squat

    A movement that trains the thigh, glute, and hip muscles. Lower your body as if sitting, then stand back up.

    Benefits: Strengthens leg & glute muscles, improves posture.
  2. Lunges

    Step one foot forward, bend the knee to 90 degrees, then return to the starting position.

    Benefits: Improves flexibility, balance, & leg muscles.
  3. Wall Sit

    Lean your back against a wall, lower your body as if sitting, and hold.

    Benefits: Strengthens thigh & leg endurance.
  4. Push-Up

    A classic movement to strengthen the upper body muscles, from chest to arms.

    Benefits: Increases chest, shoulder, & core strength.
  5. Plank

    Hold a straight body position on your forearms, hold for 30 seconds or more.

    Benefits: Tones abs, improves posture & balance.
