Is it True That Gen-Z Has Weaker Mental Health?

Posted on 30 Dec 2024 (Monday.) 16:54 WIB

Mental health does not actually discriminate based on generation, as it is caused by many factors. What we can do is respond positively to what happens by maintaining our mental health.

There is often a perception in society that Generation Z has weaker mental health compared to previous generations. However, it cannot be said that the entire Gen-Z generation has weak mental health in general. Every individual has unique experiences and challenges in life, and mental well-being is influenced by various factors, including the environment, social support, genetics, and personal experiences.
However, according to a survey conducted in 2022, 59.1% of Generation Z reported experiencing mental health issues, while Millennials had 39.8%, and Gen-X had 24.1%, based on 1,870 respondents.

To maintain your mental health, you need friends who can support you in engaging in positive activities, and the Millway community can help you build friendships while leading a healthy lifestyle.

This shows that every generation has its own mental health challenges, but the numbers reported vary across generations.

What do you think, Millway friends? Is Generation Z the most affected by mental health issues?
