Together with Millway Community, Heru Budi Promotes Healthy Living

Posted on 18 Nov 2024 (Monday.) 15:03 WIB

KOSADATA - The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta supports healthy living among residents, such as the Fun Walk organized by the Millway Indonesia community in Jakarta on Sunday (10/11). The event, themed 'Health Brings Togetherness,' started from the HI Roundabout and ended at Kantin Kendal, Menteng, Central Jakarta.

"I am very happy today to join the residents in exercising together. Earlier, I was with Mr. Kadis and Kabiro greeting participants who were walking, and everyone was excited about living a healthy life. We want all residents to make time to exercise, and doing it together certainly boosts the spirit," said Acting Governor Heru.

Additionally, Acting Governor Heru also appreciated the organizers for collaborating with the government in hosting a beneficial and impactful event.

"Thank you to Mr. Jonathan from Millway for being involved in a positive movement that benefits the community. We want to encourage anyone to organize similar activities that are useful for Jakarta's residents, especially in promoting a healthy lifestyle," said Acting Governor Heru.

At the end of the event, Acting Governor Heru awarded shopping vouchers to the best participants, followed by a photo session and breakfast together.

"This event is not about the prizes, but what we want is the sense of togetherness in exercising together, as well as the interactions formed during the activity, especially in public spaces. I hope this activity continues to be held consistently," concluded Acting Governor Heru.

During the event, Acting Governor Heru was accompanied by Head of the Regional Cooperation Bureau Mawardi, Head of the Transportation Department Syafrin Liputo, and Head of the Satpol PP Arifin, who cycled from the Horse Statue to Kantin Kendal, Central Jakarta.

Before arriving at Kantin Kendal, Acting Governor Heru’s cycling group greeted the millennial community at the Horse Statue area near Monas. The presence of Acting Governor Heru made the millennials enthusiastic to greet and take photos together.

"This is the first time I met Mr. Heru, it was fun. He gave us advice on how millennials should be more creative and engage in positive activities, ultimately, together with the Governor, we are building Jakarta," said a millennial community representative, Aryo.

Then, Acting Governor Heru’s group continued the journey and stopped at the HI Roundabout area. Residents gathered to greet the group, take photos, and chat.

"Mr. Heru is fun to talk to, I’m happy to meet him in person. He greeted me, asked how the exercise was, and how my family was doing. He sent his greetings to my family as well," said a resident named Shellin.
